Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work St Aubin's Fort, Jersey by Claude Barry. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,923.34). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Barry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work London and Wartime: Nocturne in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 230,500.00 (€ 325,002.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit St Aubin's Fort, Jersey von Claude Barry zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.837,50 (€ 12.923,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Barry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit London and Wartime: Nocturne im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 230.500,00 (€ 325.002,11).
