The work Windsor castle by Claude Barry was sold in the Modern | British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in March 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,231.94), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Barry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work London and Wartime: Nocturne in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 230,500.00 (€ 325,002.11).

Die Arbeit Windsor castle von Claude Barry wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Modern | British & Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.231,94) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Barry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit London and Wartime: Nocturne im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 230.500,00 (€ 325.002,11).
