Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Shortcut by Alfred Munnings was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 176,400.00 (€ 210,652.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Munnings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gypsies Arriving at Epsom in December 2000 with an auction result of USD 3,031,000.00 (€ 3,228,589.69).

Die Arbeit The Shortcut von Alfred Munnings kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 176.400,00 (€ 210.652,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Munnings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gypsies Arriving at Epsom im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.031.000,00 (€ 3.228.589,69).
