Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Stalk by Simon Periton. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,226.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Periton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,213.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stalk von Simon Periton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.226,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Periton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.213,40).
