In November 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3, which included the work Eclipse by Simon Periton. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 200.00 (€ 239.00), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Periton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,213.40).

Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eclipse von Simon Periton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 200,00 (€ 239,00) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Periton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.213,40).
