Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Where Land Meets Sea by Sidney Yates Johnson was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 402.50 (€ 658.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sidney Yates Johnson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mountainous river landscapes, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 1,015.75 (€ 1,524.00).

Die Arbeit Where Land Meets Sea von Sidney Yates Johnson kam im Februar 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 402,50 (€ 658,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
