Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work The Rat Pack: Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Joey Bishop stage a Fight During the Making of Ocean’s 11 by Sid Avery. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,219.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sid Avery have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cast of Oceans Eleven; Nick Conti, Jerry Lester, Joey Bishop, Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Peter Lawford, Akim Tameroff, Richard Benedict, Henry Silva, Norman Fell and Clem Harvey in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,678.19).

Im Oktober 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Rat Pack: Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Joey Bishop stage a Fight During the Making of Ocean’s 11 von Sid Avery zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.219,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
