Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Palazzo Ducale 35(Executed In 2008) by Shozo Shimamoto. The price achieved of HKD 767,000.00 (€ 80,930.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 650,000.00 – 850,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shozo Shimamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Explosion 64-1 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 20,500,000.00 (€ 2,419,733.82).
