Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Turmoil IV". by Shonah Trescott was auctioned at VAN HAM in March this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 792.00. Admittedly, works by Shonah Trescott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "The Search" 4 in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 4,909.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Turmoil IV". von Shonah Trescott im März diesen Jahres bei VAN HAM versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 792,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shonah Trescott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "The Search" 4 im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.909,00.
