Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shiy De-Jinn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. In the Modern Day Auction auction, the work Youth sold for HKD 2,646,000.00 (€ 319,920.66) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shiy De-Jinn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Young Girl, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 5,480,000.00 (€ 644,882.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shiy De-Jinn erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Youth für HKD 2.646.000,00 (€ 319.920,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shiy De-Jinn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Young Girl beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 5.480.000,00 (€ 644.882,32) versteigert wurde.
