The work Recluse In The Autumn Mountains by Shitao was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 43,825.38) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shitao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems, Calligraphy And Landscape in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,946,000.00 (€ 3,673,773.39).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Recluse In The Autumn Mountains von Shitao kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 43.825,38) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shitao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems, Calligraphy And Landscape im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.946.000,00 (€ 3.673.773,39).
