Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shitao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscapes sold for HKD 1,225,000.00 (€ 137,936.82) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shitao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems, Calligraphy And Landscape in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,946,000.00 (€ 3,673,773.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shitao erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscapes für HKD 1.225.000,00 (€ 137.936,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shitao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems, Calligraphy And Landscape im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.946.000,00 (€ 3.673.773,39).
