Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shirley Jaffe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in December 2018. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art II auction, the work Triangle II - 1992 sold for EUR 44,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shirley Jaffe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Whirling Dervish Ou Indian Flight - 1986 sold at auction in December 2014 with the realized price of EUR 58,840.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shirley Jaffe erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art II wurde die Arbeit Triangle II - 1992 für EUR 44.200,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Shirley Jaffe; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Whirling Dervish Ou Indian Flight - 1986 im Dezember 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 58.840,00.
