The »bidding war« ended at EUR 30,000.00 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shirley Jaffe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Whirling Dervish Ou Indian Flight - 1986 sold at auction in December 2014 with the realized price of EUR 58,840.00.
