This artwork by Shirley Jaffe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in October 2016. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work The Three Musketeers - 1958 sold for EUR 13,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shirley Jaffe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Whirling Dervish Ou Indian Flight - 1986 in December 2014 with an auction result of EUR 58,840.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 86 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shirley Jaffe erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit The Three Musketeers - 1958 für EUR 13.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shirley Jaffe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Whirling Dervish Ou Indian Flight - 1986 im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.840,00.
