Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Goddess Nato by Shintaro Miyake. It changed hands for a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,479.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shintaro Miyake - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Path to Egypt, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 412,500.00 (€ 39,462.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Goddess Nato von Shintaro Miyake zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.479,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shintaro Miyake mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Path to Egypt beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 412.500,00 (€ 39.462,39) versteigert wurde.
