The work Girls!! by Shintaro Miyake was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 350,000.00 (€ 33,213.18), 40% above the upper estimate. Other works by Shintaro Miyake have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 412,500.00 (€ 39,462.39) in November 2011 for the work Path to Egypt.
