A top price for Shimaoka Tatsuzo
In March 2001 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Rice-husk ash and copper-green-glazed square stoneware dish by Shimaoka Tatsuzo. Here, the upper estimate of USD 4,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,935.00 (€ 5,611.78). With this result, Rice-husk ash and copper-green-glazed square stoneware dish is even the most expensive work of art by Shimaoka Tatsuzo that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März 2001 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rice-husk ash and copper-green-glazed square stoneware dish von Shimaoka Tatsuzo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 4.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 4.935,00 (€ 5.611,78) einen neuen Besitzer.
