Each side decorated with impressed rope patterns inlaid in slip within squares in a checkered formation, alternating with squares with a brushed design in iron-red, green and yellow glazes over slip, the base with impressed artist's mark "Ta", with fitted wood storage box signed and sealed Tatsuzo and inscribed Zogan aka-e ichimatsumon henko (Inlaid square vase with checkered pattern and red brushwork)
