Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work A Moment by Shichinohe Masaru was worth HKD 650,000.00 (€ 73,190.96) to a buyer in October 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shichinohe Masaru; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Praying Girl(Painted In 2012) sold at auction in May 2017 with the realized price of HKD 826,000.00 (€ 94,318.08).

Die Arbeit A Moment von Shichinohe Masaru war einem Käufer im Oktober 2018 HKD 650.000,00 (€ 73.190,96) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Shichinohe Masaru; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Praying Girl(Painted In 2012) im Mai 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 826.000,00 (€ 94.318,08).
