This artwork by Shiavax Chavda achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. In the Indian Art including Miniatures and Modern Paintings auction, the work without title sold for USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,356.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shiavax Chavda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Primal Power, which sold at auction in March 2006 for USD 48,000.00 (€ 39,541.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shiavax Chavda erzielte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Indian Art including Miniatures and Modern Paintings wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.356,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shiavax Chavda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Primal Power beobachtet, die im März 2006 für USD 48.000,00 (€ 39.541,97) versteigert wurde.
