This artwork by Shiavax Chavda achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2021. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Drum of Victory sold for GBP 9,450.00 (€ 11,195.70) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shiavax Chavda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Primal Power, which sold at auction in March 2006 for USD 48,000.00 (€ 39,541.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Shiavax Chavda erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Drum of Victory für GBP 9.450,00 (€ 11.195,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shiavax Chavda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Primal Power beobachtet, die im März 2006 für USD 48.000,00 (€ 39.541,97) versteigert wurde.
