This artwork by Shiavax Chavda achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2019. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Invitation (Folk Dance) sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,496.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shiavax Chavda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Primal Power in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 39,541.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Shiavax Chavda erzielte im Juni 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Invitation (Folk Dance) für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.496,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shiavax Chavda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Primal Power im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 39.541,97).
