The work Man On The Pavement by Shiavax Chavda was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,196.25) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shiavax Chavda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Primal Power in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 39,541.97).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Man On The Pavement von Shiavax Chavda wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.196,25) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shiavax Chavda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Primal Power im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 39.541,97).
