Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blackscape by Shiavax Chavda was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,468.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Shiavax Chavda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Primal Power in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 39,541.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blackscape von Shiavax Chavda wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.468,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shiavax Chavda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Primal Power im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 39.541,97).
