Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2013 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Bharat Natayam Dancers (South India) by Shiavax Chavda. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,926.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shiavax Chavda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Primal Power in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 39,541.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bharat Natayam Dancers (South India) von Shiavax Chavda zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.926,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shiavax Chavda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Primal Power im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 39.541,97).
