Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Shi Guorui could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Bird'S Nest Stadium changed hands for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,327.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shi Guorui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bird'S Nest Stadium, Beijing, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 52,500.00 (€ 37,284.28).
