Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Reflections by Sherree Valentine Daines. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,024.00 (€ 1,194.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sherree Valentine Daines achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forever Cherished in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,533.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reflections von Sherree Valentine Daines zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.024,00 (€ 1.194,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sherree Valentine Daines erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Forever Cherished im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.533,50).
