Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shen Xinhai achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. In the Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Figures sold for HKD 23,600.00 (€ 2,677.81) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Xinhai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 177,000.00 (€ 19,480.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Xinhai erzielte im März 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Figures für HKD 23.600,00 (€ 2.677,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Xinhai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 177.000,00 (€ 19.480,94).
