Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Temptation No.9 by Shen Xiaotong was sold in the Contemporary Chinese Art II auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. The price achieved of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 6,180.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Xiaotong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No. 18 in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 480,000.00 (€ 45,705.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Temptation No.9 von Shen Xiaotong wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art II bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 6.180,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Xiaotong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No. 18 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 480.000,00 (€ 45.705,79).
