Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Shen Xiaotong could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work 2005 No.3 changed hands for HKD 31,250.00 (€ 3,364.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Xiaotong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No. 18 in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 480,000.00 (€ 45,705.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Xiaotong konnte im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wechselte die Arbeit 2005 No.3 für HKD 31.250,00 (€ 3.364,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Xiaotong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No. 18 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 480.000,00 (€ 45.705,79).
