Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Temptation No.26 by Shen Xiaotong for HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,744.80). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Xiaotong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No. 18 in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 480,000.00 (€ 45,705.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Temptation No.26 von Shen Xiaotong für HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.744,80) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Xiaotong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No. 18 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 480.000,00 (€ 45.705,79).
