Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art, which included the work 2002 Image No. 20 by Shen Xiaotong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 223,500.00 (€ 19,537.99), 24% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shen Xiaotong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work No. 18, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 480,000.00 (€ 45,705.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 2002 Image No. 20 von Shen Xiaotong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 223.500,00 (€ 19.537,99) und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Shen Xiaotong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit No. 18 beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 480.000,00 (€ 45.705,79) versteigert wurde.
