Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Experimental Studio No. 2 - Sunflower (3 Works) by Shen Shaomin for HKD 4,375.00 (€ 507.42). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Shaomin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mona Lisa in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 26,071.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Experimental Studio No. 2 - Sunflower (3 Works) von Shen Shaomin für HKD 4.375,00 (€ 507,42) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Shaomin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mona Lisa im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 26.071,12).
