Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shen Shaomin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2018. In the Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition auction, the work Handle with Care No. 24 sold for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,137.96) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shen Shaomin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mona Lisa sold at auction in April 2011 with the realized price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 26,071.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Shaomin erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition wurde die Arbeit Handle with Care No. 24 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.137,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Shen Shaomin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mona Lisa im April 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 26.071,12).
