Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Magpies On Pomegranate Tree by Shen Quan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 22,422.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Quan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Auspicious Deer in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,658,000.00 (€ 376,601.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Magpies On Pomegranate Tree von Shen Quan kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 22.422,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Quan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Auspicious Deer im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.658.000,00 (€ 376.601,76).
