The work Deer And Monkey by Shen Quan was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 475,000.00 (€ 55,897.65), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Shen Quan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Auspicious Deer in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,658,000.00 (€ 376,601.76).

Die Arbeit Deer And Monkey von Shen Quan wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 55.897,65) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Quan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Auspicious Deer im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.658.000,00 (€ 376.601,76).
