Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shen Jingdong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work After The Luncheon On The Grass sold for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,335.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shen Jingdong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Strength, which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 625,000.00 (€ 65,947.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Jingdong erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit After The Luncheon On The Grass für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 25.335,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shen Jingdong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Strength beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 625.000,00 (€ 65.947,49) versteigert wurde.
