The work Seven Sages Of The Bamboo Grove by Shen Daohong was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 413,000.00 (€ 45,455.53), 38% above the upper estimate. With this result, Seven Sages Of The Bamboo Grove is even the most expensive work of art by Shen Daohong that we have observed at auctions so far.
