The work Playing Zither by Shen Daohong was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in July last year. The auction ended at the price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 7,486.77), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Daohong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seven Sages Of The Bamboo Grove in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 413,000.00 (€ 45,455.53).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Playing Zither von Shen Daohong wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 7.486,77) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Daohong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seven Sages Of The Bamboo Grove im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 413.000,00 (€ 45.455,53).
