Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Made In Britain, which included the work Solway, Cumbria Ii by Sheila Fell. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,303.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sheila Fell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Haystacks in Winter in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 37,750.00 (€ 42,141.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made In Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Solway, Cumbria Ii von Sheila Fell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.303,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sheila Fell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Haystacks in Winter im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.750,00 (€ 42.141,74).
