The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,123.16), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sheila Fell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Haystacks in Winter sold at auction in November 2020 with the realized price of GBP 37,750.00 (€ 42,141.74).
