Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Confections from Thiebaud, 2004 by Sharon Core was sold in the Photographs Including Property Sold to Benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation auction at Christies in New York in April 2017. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,473.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sharon Core have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bakery Counter, 1962 in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,479.33).
