Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Shang Chengzuo was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,347.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shang Chengzuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Clerical/Seal Script in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 230,000.00 (€ 26,581.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Shang Chengzuo kam im Mai 2017 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.347,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shang Chengzuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Clerical/Seal Script im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 230.000,00 (€ 26.581,26).
