Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Christies in Dubai held the auction Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work (i) Be Colourful #2 (ii) Be Colourful #4 by Shadi Ghadirian. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,347.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shadi Ghadirian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Like Everyday, which sold at auction in April 2010 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,191.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit (i) Be Colourful #2 (ii) Be Colourful #4 von Shadi Ghadirian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.347,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Shadi Ghadirian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Like Everyday beobachtet, die im April 2010 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.191,25) versteigert wurde.
