Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (From the Ghajar Series) by Shadi Ghadirian for GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,284.07). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Shadi Ghadirian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Like Everyday in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,191.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (From the Ghajar Series) von Shadi Ghadirian für GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.284,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shadi Ghadirian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Like Everyday im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.191,25).
