Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2018 Christies in London held the auction Handpicked: 50 works selected by the Saatchi Collection - Online Only, which included the work Untitled (From the Qajar Series) by Shadi Ghadirian. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,520.68). Admittedly, works by Shadi Ghadirian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Like Everyday in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,191.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Handpicked: 50 works selected by the Saatchi Collection - Online Only durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (From the Qajar Series) von Shadi Ghadirian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.520,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shadi Ghadirian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Like Everyday im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.191,25).
