Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unconscious Of Danger by Seymour Joseph Guy was sold in the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in December 2003. The price achieved of USD 71,700.00 (€ 56,918.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Seymour Joseph Guy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Story Of Golden Locks, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 218,500.00 (€ 156,979.67).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 71.700,00 (€ 56.918,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden.
