The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,844.72), 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by Sewell Sillman have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,438.45) in September 2015 for the work without title.
