In January last year Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century American Art, which included the work Floral Still Life by Severin Roesen. The »bidding war« ended at USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,020.69), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Severin Roesen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Fruit In A Landscape in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 769,000.00 (€ 494,215.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Floral Still Life von Severin Roesen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 39.020,69) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Severin Roesen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit In A Landscape im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 769.000,00 (€ 494.215,94).
